Health and Safety Awareness
Health and Safety Awareness is an essential feature of the Training and Development of all an employer's staff. As an employer you have a responsibility for the welfare and safety of your employees. Your employees too have a responsibility both for themselves and for their colleagues, under Health and Safety Legislation. This training course is designed to address all of these issues. The course can be tailored to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.
Manual Handling
Principles of Manual Handling is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work and introduces students to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available and what to expect from a manual handling assessment. Successful completion will prepare students to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the development of safer methods and tasks, in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.
COSHH
Within world-wide industry there exists a wide array of harmful substances weather in solid, liquid or gas form which can cause serious repercussions for any victims and companies in the event of inhalation, ingestion and absorption to the human body. We have very carefully put together an awareness package of training which has a "bolt-on capability" to suit your needs.
Confined Space Working
What is the definition of a confined space? This course will cover possible dangers and safe systems of work. The risk assessments that may need to carried out and any emergency procedures that will need to be put in place to reduce risk as much as possible
Asbestos Awareness
Taking a look at all the different types of asbestos and their levels of toxicity. The course will look at where you may find asbestos and the risks. What are the hazards when asbestos if found and its safe removal and disposal, including current legislation.
Working At Height
This course will ,look at devising a safe system of work and using the right equipment to protect yourself and the public, when working at height. The content will include safe use of ladders, step ladders, scaffolding and different methods of cleaning windows depending on their height. The course will cover all current legislation.
How to do Risk Assessments
What is a Risk Assessment? How to assess risks in the workplace. How to identify possible hazards, evaluating the risk these pose and then how to document a risk assessment for employees. Our course offers a sensible approach to risk and possible hazards and how to deal with them.
Office Awareness
This course takes a look at office Health and Safety. In todays climate we all need to be aware of potential dangers in the office and how to protect the workforce. A look at potential risks and hazards in the office environment and what measure need to be put in place to minimise the risks.
Identifying Hazards
Slips, trips and hazards are most likely to be spotted by the people who work in the environment everyday. A look at how to help you or your workforce identify the hazards. How you can then evaluate the risks and document a risk assessment for the work force.
Working With Electricity
This course takes a look at safe working practices when working with or near electrical equipment. Recognising the hazards, assessing the risk and the use of safety equipment.
